Evil day: The Prophet PBUH sought refuge from a day in which there were evils, calamities, negligence, and everything that went wrong in the day, and the same is said on the evil night, and the rest of the supplication which is detailed and comprehensive regarding where the evils may come from.
Final abode: I seek refuge from the evils of the resident neighbour because his evils will prolong due to the length of his stay, unlike the desert neighbour as he does not stay for long and always moving around.
«اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ يَوْمِ السَّوْءِ، وَمِنْ لَيْلَةِ السَّوْءِ، وَمِنْ سَاعَةِ السَّوْءِ، وَمِنْ صَاحِبِ السَّوْءِ، وَمِنْ جَارِ السَّوْءِ فِي دَارِ الْمُقَامَةِ»
Allahuma 'inni 'aeudh bik min yawm alssaw'i, wamin laylat alssaw'i, wamin saeat alssaw'i, wamin sahib alssaw'i, wamin jar alssaw' fi dar almuqamati.
