Third: The servant must place his trust in Allah, the Exalted, and firmly believe in His ability to answer every supplication. He should know that there is no need to draw close to any created being in order to draw closer to Allah. Such beliefs are among the innovations that lead a Muslim into impermissible forms of tawassul (seeking approach through an intermediary).
