Raising the hands<\/strong><\/p><p>These two sunnahs are indicated in the Hadith of \u02bfAbdull\u0101h ibn \u02bfAbb\u0101s, may Allah be pleased with them both, who said:<\/p><p>\u201c\u02bfUmar ibn al Kha\u1e6d\u1e6d\u0101b, may Allah be pleased with him, told me: On the Day of Badr, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) looked at the polytheists, who were a thousand in number, while his companions were three hundred and nineteen men. The Prophet (PBUH) then faced the Qiblah, extended his hands, and began supplicating to his Lord, saying: \u2018\u201cO Allah, fulfil for me what You have promised me.
